Taking steps to engage in a lifestyle including yoga is just amazing. When you start to feel better, there is a good chance you will become more aware of how you live and what you eat. Making small but sustainable changes can have quite an impact.
Nourishing food is the fuel our body needs to make us strong and healthy. Yoga is the union of mind and body. Adopting a healthy and balancedapproach to both will leave you feeling more energised, happy and living a longer and more fulfilling life.
Traditionally a yogic diet should be Sattvic which means pure. It calms and purifies the mind, enabling us to function at its maximum potential. I like to focus on plant based diets and living in harmony with nature and our planet. Most of us have certain food that works better for us than others, and though we have to listen to the body for individual tweaks, there are some general foods to include as well as stay away from that most of us benefit
from. Within this frame there is so much delicious food. Whether you eat alone or together, let it be joyful.
I produced this cookbook with Pauline Van Ettro when I lived in Zambia. She and I gave talks on nutrition and found it helpful not just to inspire people to live a healthier life but also showed them ideas for what to eat. It is an informative dead easy healthy and delicious cookbook for families, using ordinary ingredients you do not need to go running around town to get.
I meet you where YOU are in your life right now. We take steps from there, together, simple but dedicated steps, so you can experience the transformation to a happier and healthier YOU.
Looks like you haven't made a choice yet.
